sorry, I don't like using 3rd parties when it comes to money. The only issues I've had are people lying and saying they mailed payment when they didn't (and that has only been twice).

If the item is postmarked by 7 days and the person tells you the day that they ship but for some reason the post office is slow do you wait for the money to get there?
I am very nervous about sending money in the mail because chances are actually pretty good that the post office might deliver it late.

So if you get shipping moneyt several days past time and it is postmarked showing that it was shipped within 7 days do you still ship the shirt to the buyer?

How soon after the sale do you relist it?

If you get the money and it is postmarked within the 7 days but you have already relisted the item what do you do for the buyer?

Are they just out $2 and the Listia credits or what happens?

If you relist and somebody bids you will be unable to end the auction and send it to the original buyer.

That's why I am asking because I don't understand how the whole cash thing works or what happens to the buyer if the post office is slow to get the money to you.
Mostly I am just curious about the way that this works..

If the person gets tracking on their payment they don't have to worry about anything. I can track it and find out exactly when it left and where it's at. If there is no tracking #, and it was mailed out on day 2, and didn't arrive by day 7 (when I can relist if I choose to), then it could be the post office had a problem or shipping really wasn't mailed. I suggest getting tracking. There shouldn't be a reason for it to take longer than 4 or 5 days honestly. If you don't want to send cash, or provide tracking, get a money order or write a check. Both of those are easy to check and see if they've been deposited/used. However, with whatever payment method you choose, I will wait until at least the 7 day mark. If you say it's been mailed, especially if you have tracking, then I will wait another week before giving up and relisting. Listia rules are very clear about payment AND shipping needing to be done within 7 days. :) I have waited a month to get shipping and when it didn't come, and they didn't have tracking, I relisted.
