they appear to be standard 3.75" star wars figs, and thats not a "stormtrooper" that is a clone shocktrooper

thanks for making the edit, stormtroopers were bad guys (most were normal people who joined the empire willingly) clones were bred to follow orders, cant be called a bad guy when your brain wouldn't let you do the right thing

it happens a lot, its a flaw in the design, you can fond replacement hands on ebay or call the manufacturer and get a full set of replacement parts, hands and guns.

The only nice thing about the newer ones not being articulated like these is that they have all their body parts after he's played with them :P
