This portable speaker has really great sound it's only draw back is that you have to use two wires to make it work. It doesn't take batteries, the power comes from a USB hookup.

No, the power comes from the usb connection. They are portable. No batteries or wall jack needed.

as long as you have a usb port and a place to plug in speakers, yes. I used them on my lap top for a while.
