Here's some postage stamps from the 1950's. I found a bag of old letters, still in the envelopes. I just cut them from the envelopes as you see here, leaving the postmarks still visible. Air Mail stamp with a couple of others. First Class postage at the time was 3 cents, and Airmail was 6 cents. Many of us have a tendency to complain when the cost of a first class stamp goes up, but when you see that in 61 years, the postage has only gone up 46 cents....it kind of makes you feel rather foolish.
