Lionel Collectible Train Watch with Motion & Real Train Sounds in new/unused condition!
This is in excellent condition with no damage to be found. The batteries have run down due to it just sitting in a drawer, never used, just collected and stored away. I am going to search for batteries for the watch, however, if I do find them, I've come into info regarding replacing them and don't wish to take a chance on ruining the watch.
"The Lionel Collectable Train Watch has 3 batteries in it. Two are for the whistle and one for the watch. All of them are V377 or 377 disk batteries. Gently pop off the back cover as most watches come off the same way. The battery by itself toward the middle is the train timepiece watch battery and is installed with the + side up toward you. The two batteries toward the edge are the whistle batteries, and you have to be very careful in changing them. Thee us a rotating contact that is plastic coated, over the batteries. NOTE: THE BATTERIES ARE NOT BOTH IN THE SAME DIRECTION. ONE IS UP AND ONE IS DOWN. (LOOK VERY CAREFULLY FOR A + AND - SIGN ON RIGHT NEXT TO EACH BATTERY.) Incorrect changing of these batteries by persons in jewelers departments of stores like Walmart and Target, have damaged more of these watches than you would like to believe. Hope this helps. (By the way, I do not have a brochure for the watch at this time.)
♥As always, a surprise extra will be included!♥

David, that is kind of a valid point, but only kind of. If the winning bidder was bidding on it as a collectable watch, then leaving it intact and undamaged is much preferable to risk scratching it to open the casing. However, if the winning bidder bid on it to be a functional and wearable watch, knowing if the batteries have leaked and caused damage would be a very important point. But she cannot please one without alienating the other. As it is listed now it seems to be being sold as a collectable item that should work, but may not. It will arrive undamaged and there for untested. All bidders should probably keep that in mind. Scratching it is certainly not ideal and a small scratch or even a more sizable one is undeniably possible if changed by a novice.

I do have more information regarding changing the watch batteries that I will print out and enclose with the watch. It's such a wonderful watch, and I just can't take the chance on damaging it by trying to replace the batteries myself. I'm sure a collector will understand. :)

If the batteries are still in the watch and have been in it a long time they mite have damaged the watch, because they may have spilt open and damaged it. Need to open it to see if it is ok.
