These are new in the package; however the expiration dates are 11/2011, 12/2011 or 1/2012. The ink is still good. The person that sold us the ink had their printer break and had no more use for the ink. In fact, they were also selling their printer for parts. They had purchased the ink at a great price in a lot and used some but not all. They had recently used some which worked fine. I no longer have a Canon so I can't use them up.
