This ram skull was given to me by a friend's mother back in my goth teen years. She knew it would drive my parents absolutely crazy. I've kept it around for decades. One sunny afternoon when roses were in full bloom, I collected some for my mother. Before giving them to her, I set up a nice still life and began to pastel. Sketching it out lightly, and then applying the colors to canson paper. Grab him by the curly horns for your favorite Aries or just a lover of animals, nature and flowers.

Pastel (powdered pigment sticks) is my medium of choice.
