this takes regular fluid not butane

I was looking at the label inside the package and you might be right, I really don't know for sure. It could just be an advertising piece inside. I thought this was for sure a butane one based on the label. But looking at it again this afternoon, I'm still not sure. It does have the original orange seal on it, and I didn't want to pull the box apart, so I appreciate your feedback about the fuel :-)

I don't see a hole in bottom for butane. Also butane lighters all have a + and - for flame adjustment. F & Bidding love the black crackle.

Zippo only makes one lighter that takes butane that's a torch they are so cool

I finally found out for positive. The ble butane line from Zippos is a lid design to distinguish between the regular VS butane. Butane has a curve on the side of the lid. Follow the link for yourself: http://www.zippo.com/product.aspx?id=1025879

i have a butane zippo and i collect zippos that is not a butane zippo it has no fill hole in the bottom and all zippo butane lighters have a screw in the bottom to hold it together if it was a zippo butane it is worth well over $100 bucks its still a nice lighter and it is also a 2012 the 12 on bottom tells the year when you have dots and hash marks that also tells the year it was made i also have the dateing chart for zippos but no that isnt a butane,sorry i wish it was id shur bid on it

Yes, I did learn more about this lighter from others, but once it's up and bid on you cannot change anything in the title. Its a Zippo, Black Crackle and New in Box, but it does take regular fuel. I took the paper inside the box to mean it took butane and regular fuel, sorry its not a butane, but its still a neat Zippo. Thanks for your feedback :-)

yes it is a great zippo lighter hope you didnt take it wrong what i was meaning just wanted to let you no what to look for if it was a butane but like i said i would love to have bid on a butane i got 17.000 ida gave you all that for a butane zippo it would be well worth it to mei fanned you to but it is a good auction zippo,s are the best

I actually appreciate the feedback, I have learn't a lot about Zippo's this past 10 days or so. I had no idea, Zippo has such a fan base, I can see why, they are nice lighters for sure. I have several lying in draws, so decide to put a few on here, but this one was different, did not realize the ad inside was for something else, but by then it was to late to change, so I'm chalking it up to new education lol!! I appreciate your comments and follow up :-)
