A friend brought this back from Vegas and gave to me. I don't know which casino it came from. It is the same on both sides with no monetary amount shown on either side. That's all I know about it.
That is probably correct. It looks and feels just like the chips I have played with in Vegas, but it does not have any money amount shown on it. I have an old chip like one I just auctioned which has JPC on it and $1.00 printed on both sides.
I don't believe that's a authentic Las Vegas casino chip. It's looks like a mass produced chip that they slapped the Las Vegas logo on it. You can usually find this design in poker chip sets sold on Amazon and poker chip makers.
All I know is my friend brought it back from Vegas and told me he got it in a casino there. As stated before it has no monetary value shown on either side.
I think your friend is bullshitting you. Mr O hit it right on the head. If your friend got it from an actual casino it would have the name of it on the chip not some generic logo that anyone with a printer can post. Plus casino chips aren't plastic looking like that chip certainly looks.
