Yeah, I am not sure. It might work if you only used 1 strand but I don't sew as far as with a sewing machine so I have no clue!

Ya i am not sure either, sewing machines drive me nuts can not ever get the thread not to break in mine so i gave up trying, , oh not this thread, , i just meant any thread i use for some reason it breaks, in my sewing machine, cant figure out what i am doing wrong, lol

When the thread breaks a lot on the sewing machine it means your tension is to high.

I use to break my thread a lot and I found it was the tension was too high. But my sister told me when hemming blue jeans when you hit those seams you have to walk the sewing machine thru slowly so that you don't break your needle or thread. By walk I mean you have to turn the wheel by hand instead of using the foot petal. I hope this helps your customer who asked the question. I'm sure it would at least let them find out if it's them or something wrong with the machine.
