The listing, Fantastic Vintage Dragon Ware Trinket Box has ended.

Started out as a cigarette box, but since more than half the nation is smoke - free now, it could easily be used as a trinket, or small jewelry case.
it is done in the common grey/black and white colors. it has a raised dragon hand painted design. no chips or damage. a little dusty, but i sell "as found" so the new owner can dust, clean, etc or leave a vintage patina if wanted on metal items etc.
it measures 4 1/2 inches by 5 inches long and 2 inches deep. it has gold metallic accents in the hand painted area.

Interesting mark on the bottom. Could date anywhere from 1920 to present day.
Although in 1952 back stamps succumb to paper labels, but in the 70's there was a rash of reproductions and insane back stamps and hallmarks. that could not be identified.
If this was a true vintage piece it could have a value of $25 - $50 in my opinion

thanks for the info. I have a rather large collection of Dragon Ware. I know this isn't from the 70s as I bought it before that. Also the 70s and 80 dragon ware, even the ones with lithopanes, mostly have a glossy glaze.

There is no design inside. It is clean and just white porcelain. The last picture shows the back with the gold printed, Hand Painted, Made in Japan.
