I have 9 assorted Skeleton keys, all are different colors and styles. I do not know what their uses were, or the year. The third picture is just an example of what I did in my home with them, but I am sure u all have your own ideas. Also if u would like plain black frames I will include 3 with the keys ( no glass no backing ) for u as a bonus!
( also the doily is NOT included )

Seriously. It takes a skeleton key to open the doors. Not sure where my key Is. It is an old solid oak buffet heavy and beautiful

The smallest is about 2in and the largest is about 4in...

Actually what happened is I met someone who used to work in an old antique store in Philadelphia, he had a whole ring of keys and he was just like here you can have them.. I am about to post this wicked little pill box he also gave me... its kind of heavy and seems to tarnish quickly so I am not sure of the metal, looks like coppery finish, it is inlaid with one Ruby and old tiny watch parts with a black screw on lid. So I don't know if all these items are actually from Philadelphia or what, but the antique store has been long gone, maybe 20 or 25 years ago. I don't know of their worth or value, I decorate in that sort of style, that was why I got them, I already had an idea which I posted. Sorry I can not tell you much more than that.... Oh great! These would be awesome! Because they quite Ornamental at the top and each one is a little different in color ( gold or brassy looking ) and the key teeth are different too, plus some are hollow and some are solid. Neat! Never really thought about it like that! ~ Liz
