The three legs fold out and sits up straight, and there is a screw on the platform that screws into the bottom of the camera and holds it in place, if you would like better pictures let me know and I can take them

Does it work for a medium size cameras?

My is an olympus and it works well with it not sure how it would work with other but it should, it is built to hold the camera up, but really don't know for sure.
