The listing, Vintage Antique Doll with Flower Basket has ended.

Very old doll. feels like celluloid...I don't know. No name on the neck. Original clothing--some of the red has bled into the white and some age spots. Approx 11 inches long, redhair with blue eyes. Eyes have to be manually opened. Doll has a basket tied to one hand with a paper flower in it. Still in great shape for how old it is. If you have any info about the doll, please let me know! Shipping is $5 with tracking.

She looks like one of the Story Book dolls, and she looks more like Hard plastic , than compo.

I was given one that almost looks like her in 1948. She was new then. Never did know who made her. Very pretty.

She is great for being as old as she is, hate to part with her but I don't collect dolls (I do collect antique toasters, fans, typewriters and cannisters...my husband says NO MORE COLLECTIONS!) and want her to go to a good home where someone will appreciate her. She does have some attributes of a Horsman doll.
But my guess is she is a bit older than Horsman, and they got the look from her!

Celluloid has been around since 1870 or so.
The Victorian era is from 1837 - 1901

Oh I forgot, it's not celluloid, it's a composition like material. Celluloid would be too soft.
