Needs considerable moisture to succeed. Prefers moist, compost-rich soil. May benefit from afternoon shade in hot summers. Can be divided every 2- 3 years right after bloom or in early fall. Be sure to replant crown just above soil surface. Cut back to 1/2 after blooming to encourage reblooms in fall.
