nice! yeah... you should try them!! If it's the same fruit, and I bet it is, they have a very, clean crisp, slightly sweet flavor that is very thirst quenching! ok..gotta bid on this!

I made awesome prickly pear / pomegranate jelly last fall. You can also eat the pads, although I haven't tried that yet.

Yeah... I've read recipes that call for prickley pear cactus pads... I think in like stir fry type stuff! hadn't thought about making a jelly from the pears, although I bet they'd also make an awsome sweetner or syrup, like agave nectar..that's a cactus!

yeah... fortunately, that was MY way of thinking back then, my daughter doesn't worry about sneaking out, if she has someplace she wants to be, she tells me, if I say no, she says .. it's cool!

omg I never thought of Listia as a way of cleaning out my cactus patch!!!! I must have the tallest stand of Choya in the county lol... now just how do you ship these prickly pair pads????
Apr 20th, 2011 at 12:11:20 AM PDT by

first you get a section without its firts spines sticking out then you break off a section set it on a plate in a dark place for 1 day to season it then get a zip lock bag put a damp paper towel in it and sdd your cactus make sure that you zip the bag properly so it soes not leak then put in bubble envelope and send it be sure to put do not crush on both sides of enmvelope as soon as it arrives they need to put it in dirt and water and then forget about it just enjoy
