I dont understand. You put a key inside of it? and it has a light? what is it for? does it go on the outside of a house? or under a car hood (extra car keys)? can someone please explain to me?

Have you ever come home at night and tried to get in the door and cant get your key in the lock cause there is no light? Tried to put your key in your car but was too dark to find the lock? This devise takes care of that!! You open it up and it covers just the end of your key. A push button light is on the top of the case that allows a light beam to shine at the end of your key so your are able to see where the key is going.
