The listing, Parisian Carrots, Paris Market Carrot, Globe Carrot *French Heirloom* SEEDS has ended.
High bidder gets 30-40 seeds…too tiny, got lots, not counting!
The small, globe shaped bright orange carrots are not much bigger than typical globe radishes. They are a good choice for container gardening or for gardening in heavy (clay) and rocky soils. This is in fact, what they were developed for. In the "good ol’ days" when agriculture was local and produce was only available in-season, "forcing" varieties of carrots were developed so that they could be produced in frame or greenhouse conditions.
This very old French market carrot variety is popular in Europe and although increasing in popularity here in the U.S., still generally a novelty. Along with being good for growing in containers, they are good for fresh eating, canning and are popular with gourmet restaurants. Mature in 60 days.
For round roots, be sure to provide even moisture during growth. Drought stress will result in an elongated shape as the roots reach for moisture.
