The pieces will include leaves. They will be big enough.

One leaf ALONE can make a new plant!

They are incredibly hardy and very easy to grow.

Do you start in water or put the leaves in the soil?

You can just lay the leaves on dirt and water lightly and they will root.
If you plant them at all you are doing them a favor.

I honestly have never rooted any of my plants with water so I cannot say, sorry. It's practically spoiling these guys though if you do 8)

Well!! I bought what I thought was a hen and chick at Lowes the other day it was even labeld but the leave were falling off... Come to think of it mine look identical to yours! Maybe a switch? I just tossed a handful of leaves :( I wish we could send pictures on here because I want to see if you agree that mine looks like yours

Never root succulents in water, they will rot. Just lay them on lightly moist soil and they will root.

Ok, redteaftw, I am going to try this again. I am wondering what I am doing wrong. The plants you send are big and full, and then when I plant them they get long and lanky....any ideas?
