The candle hangs on the edge of the cylinder. It pulls out so you can easily add the lamp oil color of your choice and change the look of your candle anytime you want to. (Lamp oil does Not come with candle.) It has a nylon wick that needs to be level with the top when burning. If the wick sticks out it will let off smoke. Very pretty and goes with everything!
