Description

The listing, 14' Intel Atom Ultrabook/Laptop Win7 SSD DDR3 has ended.

Up for auction is a 14in High Res LED LCD Mate Display Intel Atom Dual Core D2500 1.86GHz cpu Laptop. Running Windows 7 Home Premium OEM x32 with updates. Software also includes Office 2007, Malwarebytes & Microsoft Security Essentials for Anti-Virus Protection.Comes with other software including Audio and Video Playback ect. 4GBs of DDR3 RAM and a 60GB Kingston SSD make this unit hope along quick with Reads at 160MBs and Writes at 72MBs. Intel GMA 3600 GPU, VIA HD Audio IC, Realtek Wireless NIC for Wifi, LAN, Headphone Port, Mini HDMI, 2x USB 2.0 Ports, Multi Card Reader, Magnetic DC-Jack, 1.3MP Integrated WebCam and Mic. I ordered multiple units for resale and am listing an extra one here for fun. This laptop was imported from Hong Kong and is essentially a new unit. Its a great slim laptop with a large (for its portability) 14' screen. The only real issue with these PCs are the ultra slim batteries, they hold a decent charge but are intermittent so its best used as a at home pc although its weight and size are great for travel as long as a AC jack is nearby. Besides the battery this is an awesome laptop, its size and shape mimic that of a MacBook Air although its a Windows based machine. The casing is plastic not aluminium but is steal fairly rugged. The SSD and RAM are upgrades. This unit with come with the charging cable and Mini HDMI to HDMI cable. Although this is a working unit and cant offer any type of warranty. Thank you for your interest and let me know if you have any questions.
Shipping will be Parcel USPS for free.

Good luck with your auction and welcome to Listia. This is truly a wonderful site and your bids will increase as soon as you get more auctions under your belt. With that said, based in your photos, do you work in a computer repair/sale shop? Are you the one who built this? And is it possible to purchase a battery let's say off eBay to replace this one to increase battery life when using it out and about from a power source? I'm a photographer and looking to bid on this for my business. Can the Ram be upgraded to 8gb? Thanks for answering these questions.

Thank for your questions, yes I run a PC repair shop and have been in the business professionally for about 11 years. I didn't build this one but did upgrade the factory default RAM and HDD (HDD was 320GB Platter and I installed 60GB Kingston SSD, the RAM was at 2GBs DDR3 and I upped it to 4GBs which is the max unfortunately). I purchased multiple ones from a site called geekbuying for resale. The battery is proprietary to the unit and is fairly hard to find but probably easily modifiable, it uses a dual battery pack not unsimilar to a tablet's battery design the only draw back would be the form-factor of the battery's housing. Thanks again

I did find a couple of these for sale used on some sites and they sell for almost $300! Cool auction. Will be watching.

What brand is this?? Is it Intel?
May 1st, 2014 at 8:55:29 AM PDT by
Original
There's no branding on the unit, its an import essentially. If I'd put a brand on it it would be Intel due to its main Chipset, CPU, and GPU being manufactured by Intel. Thank you for your question

And if i don't have a wireless router I can still hook up with the cables right and surf the Internet, thank You?
May 5th, 2014 at 1:10:36 PM PDT by

Yep as long as you have high-speed internet to your home, you can use it just like a desktop computer

Sorry if this sound stupid but i do not know a lot about Computers or Tablets, can I just hook it up to the Internet with the cables and it will work fine for e-mails, browsing and more, thank You?

Not a stupid question at all, yes this laptop has a ethernet port for hard line high-speed internet as well as a wifi card so you can access wireless internet at home (if you have a wireless router) or in restaurants for example. Thank you for your question and interest.

Power Cord Come With It?
Apr 29th, 2014 at 9:36:32 PM PDT by
Original
Small ultrabook like this probably holds a great charge for over 8 hours
May 1st, 2014 at 8:03:56 AM PDT by
Original
It does not hold 8 hours of charge, as answer and the question before if the battery IC retains continuity you can get about an hour to an hour and a half of charge. Thank you for your comment

how long does it hold a charge for?
May 1st, 2014 at 7:20:22 AM PDT by
Original
The battery is very thin and does not hold that long of a charge, typically if it does hold charge it last an hour to an hour and a half but there was an issue with these models with the battery communication integrated circuit it is intermittent as stated above in my description. Thanks for your question

DVD and CD player slot?
Apr 30th, 2014 at 12:33:16 PM PDT by
Original
No DVD/CD ROM drive, if needed you'll have to purchase an external one. Thanks for the question. They kept the Drive out to conserve space and keep the unit thin.
