If I'm not mistaken, to use the scale for everyday weighing of anything you don't actually need to sign up for stamps.com. But if you want to be able to print out the exact weight, price and a mailing label for the package you are weighing then yes you must sign up for stamps.com. ...if I'm not mistaken.,
