Questions & Comments
Great idea! Two with Autism and one pending an eval at my home.
My son was recently re dx'd with severe ADHD and ODD! He's my oldest and my 2 younger ones think that the way he acts is the way you are supposed to act so it's kinda hard to work out. I hadn't heard of the clay but I know he loves to use play doh and he loves to paint!! Sorry this is so long, I have only talked to 1 or 2 people that know what I'm going through! Happy Easter and God's blessings on you and nunna3rd!
It is ok that it is long, When I find someone that knows what I am going thru I tend to talk more as well. Many can give advice but only those who know can actually relate. They introduced her to this clay right before they admitted her into the hospital where they kept her for 20 days. She just came home yesterday and it really does calm her. Don't know why but it works better than play doh. Anytime you need to talk or vent I am always here fan me, I will go fan you right now Happy Easter to you and the Family as well@@

No offense taken, yes she just plays with it and rolls it in her hands. I think it is a little rougher than play doh so it does not break all up like some play doh does. Her therapist and in home therapist recommended it. Also you can get at target for $1.00 a 5 pack of the little balls that have pieces hanging off and we rub that on her arms or back that helps out as well to calm her
What does this do for them?? My daughter was just recently diagnosed with PDD and I'm very new to all of this (and a little scared) - I give you all so much credit... its a lot of work!! God bless =)
Honestly this was just recommended a month ago and believe it or not unlike play doh it has a rougher texture so she just plays with it and rolls it thru her hands and it does not crumble like play doh does. It makes her feel so much better. I dont know if you saw the comments about the little balls for $1.00 at target you get 5 of them you rub them up and down the back but not on the spine it calms them as well. I am still learning as well but I have alot of in home help with all of this so they teach me new things all the time. She also has a weighted stuffed animal that helps alot and you can make it yourself with a stuffed animal regular meterial and a bag of rice. she is 45 lbs so they said no more than 1 lb. I filled the meterial with 1 lb of rice opened the teddy took out the stuffing and put the pouch of rice in and resewed it up. She loves it
