It should have the battery removed and taped to it's back before shipping. The post office is leary of anything that ticks. Do you blame them? Batteries are considered hazardous materials when sending by us mail anyway. I usually ask customers to purchase their own battery after arrival or I pay the extra cost.

carolinefarney7; it most likely has a fold over clasp, common on metal link bands and bracelets. You can see it is laying flat, meaning the two ends are not constantly connected.
