The pictures show the general idea of how they work:

You'd lay your baby in wrap with the flaps out.
First, fold left flap over baby.
Tuck the tip of the left flap under baby.
Then, pull the right flap over.

The flaps are held in place with velcro. The wraps also have a small opening in the back to allow for diaper checks.
