Good question. I am looking into it. Package only says put it in the area that your dog barks most frequently and turn it on. There is no mention of it indoors or outdoors. The package is unopened and I am thinking the answer to that question might be in the instructions in the package. I won't open the package, but I will do what I can to find an answer.

I was thinking more about your question. If you plan on mounting it outside with the wall mount I would just keep it somewhere so it is out of the elements. So, I would mount it somewhere under an overhang.

I can tell you that I bred & sold Cocker Spaniels, (one barks, chain reaction). And my silent trainer worked fabulously. It wasn't this one, but it worked. fanned

My Chihuahua barks non stop too specially when I have gests, this would be a perfect solution..ty looking and fanning please fan back ty.

Thank you. I fanned you back. My little rescue buddy barked a lot when I first brought him home and that is why someone gave me this as a gift. He has since calmed down so I have had no need for it. I do remember how it is when you have guests and they won't stop barking.
