The listing, Nintendo DS has ended.

Here is a white Nintendo DS Lite up for grabs...I won this on here maybe two weeks ago hoping to give it to my sister for graduation with the understanding it was in excellent condition with just a small problem with it reading games...with that said, it's not as fabulous as I had hoped.

It does work, holds a charge, charges well, comes with the stylus and charger.

The former owner said that it didn't always read the games and that you had to fiddle with it but it would read them...I cleaned the game slot out and didn't have a problem with it playing games.

It's dirty...between the clear plastic and the white you can see dirt of some sort, I wasn't able to get it out.

There is a line across the top screen, it doesn't effect game play but it is another "quirk" of the system.

The hinge has a small crack in it.

Other than that though it's ok, just not something I want to give my sister as a gift for one of the biggest days of her life.

If you've got patience and don't need something in perfect condition this is for you!

do you think this would hold up to a 7 yr old. he has been wanting one for a while. and i dont want to go buy a new one just yet until know he could be responsable.

I think it would definitely hold up to a 7 year old, it's got a lot of life left in it, it's just not the right one for my sister.

Thought I would help you get a higher bid on this item because I see the damage to the hinge and from what you said about it.... THIS is what a person who really wants a DS does when it is in this condition.

If you have a triwing screw driver then you can change the shell of the DS to anything you want! I did this to my DS that broke and it has worked wonderful ever since! I hope everything works out well for you and for people who are afraid of opening their DS to perform this task. Take it from someone who has done it. It is super easy and it allows you to have a super awesome looking DS unlike anyone else!

Oh, does it connect to other ds lites to play mulit player? My son has a lite. I have a dsi, so I dont know what connects to what, just that I have to order something special to make ours communicate! thanks again
