The listing, Pegmatite - Quartz, Potassium Feldspar, Tourmaline - Mineral Specimen has ended.
This sweet little piece may not look amazing, but it certainly is. Formed from Quartz (clear to dark gray), Potassium Feldspar (pink), orthoclase (milky white) and some small prisms of black tourmaline (schorl - black lines), this rock was a vein injected into a granite, and cooled very slowly, over hundreds of years, forming crystals larger than 1cm. A couple quartz crystals are nicely defined and many crystal faces of the Feldspars shine bright in the sun. One of the more rare aspects of this specimen is the black tourmaline that pepper 1/4 of the rock. I found this rock in Colorado and it is %100 natural! Coin for scale.
