Sometimes, despite your best efforts, your dog just doesn't seem to get the idea of what potty training is all about. He may be an older dog who is not used to being in a home or a puppy who came from a home where he was not housebroken. In addition, some dogs seem to have a mind of their own and refuse to obey your efforts to housebreak them. F&W I have a little 5 month old Pom.she goes poop on the pad,not all the time,it somehow ends up on the carpet too,and she still wants to pee on the carpet.people has told me if you have wall to wall carpeting they think it's the pad,so will this help her to go on the pad,or is she still young, and needs more time.lol I take her out,and she comes in the house, and she's gone again,on my carpet.little brat.

Step 1 of 7
Prepare an area where your dog has limited access in your home. This might involve putting up a toddler gate across a doorway or keeping him a kitchen or a laundry room. His area should have only solid surface flooring, no carpeting. Put his crate in the area. Your dog's crate must be big enough that he can comfortably stand, turn around and stretch out when lying down.

this is step one of the steps this might help also with little puppys its inportant that you take her out as soon as she wakes up cause as a puppy there is a shorter time before they pee

Will this help with a dog that does not want to go potty while on a leash?
She was doing good when we had a back yard then we moved. To a smaller apt with no yard and have to walkher. Now she is going in the apt and not outside.
