I bought this die specifically for all the Listia crafters - I have one in my die stash and I've used it so many times that it's one of my favorites. It is a steel rule die that cuts through chipboard, leather, thin metals, cardstock, vellum, cardboard and more. It works in most die cutting machines including the BigShot, Pro, Tim Holtz Vagabond, Anna Griffin Cuttlebug, and others with proper plates. there are a variety of "latches" several that work together that work for those secret doors and flips on card making and scrapbooking pages and custom mini albums. cover these in UTEE (ultra thick embossing enamel) and use gesso, alcohol inks, paints or other mediums for texture and color and these can become little works of art on steampunk, gothic, Halloween, Christmas, Birthday or vintage victorian projects or whatever you can imagine. These are definitely an all around die :) the oval shape is a great " frame " or " bezel " for small images or words. Attach some of the latchs with brads washers or swivels for movement.
