The listing, Cotton Seeds has ended.
My daughter and I were learning more about cotton and how to grow it... I went to purchase some and found out that I can't buy them. Your land has to be allotted for cotton growth just like wheat. We went to a local cotton gin while visiting friends in Alabama and scooped some up that was on the ground. I really didn't think it would grow but had to try since how she is only six and very persistant on growing different things. To my surprise, the little boogars sprouted very quickly and in about five weeks they were about a foot tall with little blooms on them. I really didn't try to hard either, I planted them with some of the remaining cotton that was covering the seed. Someone later told me that was actually good because it retains the moisture around the seed better. Who knew? Well, we have quite a few plants growing now and she has moved on to tomatoes and peppers so I thought I would share my remaining seeds with others. I am listing 20 of them to start with but I do have more to go, so if you don't win this time check back soon. The size of the seed is compared to an average peppercorn seed....they are easy to locate in the cotton surrounding it.
