The date on the back of this piece is not always the year it was made. In fact a lot of times the patterns are ran for more than a year. The date on the back of these are the patent dates for the patterns. I worked for a company in Oklahoma City and we dealt with tons of china and crystal as part of what our jewelry store offered. I own many different items made by Wedgwood. My favorite pieces are the Christmas Tree ornaments...they are all so awesome. Sorry got off track here but just remember that the dates are patent dates and all is good this is a very lovely set for sure. Wish you had two sets! If so I would go after them but just one set is useless for me right now. Have a blessed and awesome auction! Have a lovely day.

The exact pattern and date was on ebay and they also said that they were from that year. Also the newer version of these do not have 1922 on them . These have lots of markings, embossed and stamped. I do believe they are from 1922

That is what you have to do. See I did not research them as you did. I also know that a lot of different patterns of Wedgwood, Villeroy & Boch, Noritake, Mikasa, Lennox, Royal Dalton, Royal Copenhaven, Versace, and Waterford on the pieces that were very very old they would add the patent date on the back with just about all other identifying information one would need just in case they needed a replacement piece for some. I did work in a up scale Jewelry store and we sold all of those and they absolutely used to put the dates on them. If you read my first link to you on the second posting you will see I stated that it was not "always" the year they were made ok. I did not say that is wasn't the dated it was made. I have seen so many old old patterns that believe it or not you can locate in the vendors books the pieces which they have that are either broken or damaged in any way the companies surprise you and have the replacement pieces. It is amazing what you learn. Please know I did not say they were not made in 1922 I just said it also could be the year of the patent for that pattern which then as you know would mean that was the year they began to produce the china pattern for sale so it would be both. Does that explain what I am trying to say any better. Sometimes I get what I want to say down but I dumbfuzzled it due to the facts of my disabilities I am on 13 prescription medications and three are very very high mg of narcotics...yes 3 of them and also I take a pill that allows me to walk just a bit and it causes short term memory loss and I cannot pick and chose what i remember or not ok. I am sorry to have offended you for that was not what I was trying to do. Have a blessed and lovely auction...God bless!

FYI your photos are so small I cannot see what anything looks like. They are about the size of the end of you index fingers fingerprint area if that big. Any chance you could put some real pictures on here? Thank you in advance. I will check back later to see if I can see what is in these photos!
