I have another set for you! vintage~like white
pie bird! the first set that i purchased went so well , so many asked me to see if i could get any more i went back to our local vintage shoppe and purchased the last three sets! so the first set is up for auction for you now! this adorable little bird is white and made of fine porcelain! ive been told that all pie birds are antiques as they dont make them anymore! i had to have them as they brought back memorys of my grandmothers pies lined up on the cupboard cooling with each one having a little birds head poking out the middle! you fill your fruit or meat pies half way and then tuck our little bird down in the center of your pie! then in the top crust you cut an -x- in the center so our little birds head pokes thru the center crust! as your pie bakes the steam escapes thru the hole in our little birds beak! this keeps all the juices in the pie and doesnt boil over!! i hope as your pies are cooling and your little bird is poking her head out that you can make your own set of memorys to pass down! if you would like to get this little girls mate the black bird is also up for auction! and of course you always get free shipping! thank you ! n happy baking!♥{}♥
