I know its sounds crazy to a new person but you should offer FREE Shipping
without a track record Listians will pass like they did on your Vacation House painting. With free shipping I'm sure it would have brought 8-12,000 points instead of no bids. I recommend new people start off with low value items with free shipping when you get you seller wings then charge if you think you need to (I still do all my auctions free shipping because I get more extra points because its free shipping than it cost me to mail the items)
I really like your artwork

I would raise the starting price to 5000 it will cost you 100 points but then you will at lease cover shipping
Go to EDIT change shipping option to free then go to advanced and change starting to 5000
Good luck
oh with Free shipping I will bid if I have any free credits at auction end

Ok I raised it to 5000, but I'm not sure why would be good.... I'm asking because I really want to learn this. Thank you

trying to help you cover most of shipping cost
that way if only 1 bid you partial cover your self
I bid all my credits on a knife that ends before this so if there is enough extra at end of that auction I will bid on this
I think after a few auctions with positive feedback then you could raise the starting bid even more
ITS WORTH IT

Beverly, please keep in mind that Listia credits do NOT "cover shipping costs" as someone suggested. You have to pay for shipping with REAL money, Listia credits won't help you and that is money out of YOUR pocket.

I had someone tell me this same line of garbage when I first started selling my stuff. I ended up listing 17 items with "free" shipping. I didn't get any more credits than I would have otherwise and a single trip to the post office cost me well over $80.00 and another single item that cost me $26.00 to ship!

Don't listen to her, or even to me. Due your due diligence on shipping costs and weigh that against whether or not you are willing to pay people to take your stuff. Shipping is pretty cheap, and people ARE willing to pay shipping for the items they really want. Don't let anyone talk you into screwing yourself over!

Good luck with your auctions. :)
