I would use a clear or a purple on salt and pepper. I don't think gold would work, unfortunately. Sorry...

The directions are to put it on towel dried hair and let it sit on your hair for about 30 min wit heat if possible . The directions are really clear on the packaging and the web site also has good instructions.
