Questions & Comments
I will be back to Get It Now. This will need to be dip cleaned, trying to hand polish it would wear the pattern horribly. If there are rough spots that seem pitted, it may need to be replated to save it. I'm up for the challenge, just to see the workmanship up close.
oh so cool , this is a real nice piece , its stamped and has markings on it , in fact what is described is what is stamped on it . now as i was cleaning it the lil piece on top broke off i donot know how to fix it so ill send it the way it is , glad your up for the challenge , ive had this dish for way too long it needs a good home and some tender loving care thanks for looking,
I can pay that shipping fee by sending a PayPal email payment. You have another 8 days 10 hrs on the auction. I would like to get started on this project, but won't have the credits till morning for the GET IT NOW. Yes, the decorative knob can be resoldered, after that area's surface is filed, cleaned, & fluxed. Fire Scoff will have to be applied to the whole piece, inside and out; so it does not develop Fire Scale during the soldering process. There are some silversmiths your Favorite Local Jeweler could refer you to who could do this if you ever have a need in the future. They also would clean the items you still have, in a very gentle way, for a small fee. You might want to do this and protect their future use. A Zip lock baggie can help tremendously, ask that local jeweler for some anti tarnish strips, place one in each bag, silverware, serving utensils, serving dishes. Wash and dry, then using the towel as a hot pad, not touching the surface with fingers(skin acids & oils will cause tarnish), place the item in the bag, squish out as much air as possible, fold bag over at top, seal, store. This also works on your jewelry, just don't use the gallon size ( lol ) bag, everything would just jumble scratch the metals and gems, and tangle your chains. Pharmacies have pill dose zip bags 100 count for around $2. Happy Spring Cleaning. Hope the tips help. Thanks for the offer, will see you in the morning around 9a California time PST, when I get done working tonight. I work at home, retired, but keep busy. Miss Sherrie/5/21@3:20a
