The listing, RECLAIMED burlap/jute Royal COFFEE BAG from local roaster. Use as material or frame! has ended.
This listing is for a once-filled with 50 lb of green coffee beans burlap/jute bag saved from local roaster. The front is shown, back is plain, but plain side is useful for upcycling as well (see pics). Shown with my sandal for size comparison, it measures about 3 x 1.5 ft.
I've used them as: curtains, embroidery canvas, coasters w/reclaimed plastic or foil bags as trim, and a laptop sleeve. I'm working on turning them into rugs, too. At my festival upcycling table, kids like to sew them with yarn and needlepoint needle. Just search Pinterest or Instagram for coffee bag ideas. So many options!
The laptop sleeve shown is lined with foil coffee bags for protection and secured with upcycled wool sweaters that I felted (maybe I should auction off my felt? Any interest??)
Tip: For machine sewing, use denim needle and heavy duty thread. Outdoor thread is way more expensive and all-purpose thread doesn't hold up as well.
