I have for you another white vintage like pie bird♥i first saw these adorable little birds in our small local vintage shoppe in our small towne! it instantly brought back memories of my grandmothers pies cooling on the cupboard with her little birds poking there heads out of the middle of her pies! i knew then i had to have this one and her mate the black bird ! i then purchased everything she had in her store to share with all of you as you all seem to love them as well as i do! ive been told by a few that my little birds are rare! and then ive been told by one that my little one is new and not rare! i dont know! all i know is that i purchased my little bird in our local vintage shoppe and paid more than the 5.00 that she says my little bird is worth! all i know is that i paid alot more than that! sigh! my little white bird is made of fine porcelain! and i purchased her for nostalgia reasons mainly and wanted to share them with you! you take your fruit or meat pies and fill them half way then center your bird cut an ~x~ in the middle of the top crust fill the remainder of your pie around your bird poke your bird thru the x and seal! while it bakes the steam will escape thru the hole in his beak thus keeping the juices in your pie! after hes cooked and cooling and you can see your birds head poking thru the center of your pies , i hope you can make your own memories too! i hope you enjoy this vintage like white bird and perhaps her mate the black bird ! remember free shipping! thank you♥
