Questions & Comments
What type of Bamboo is it? Inside, outside, running etc. Thank you
I have it inside in dirt, I can't really tell you what type it is, because I got the mother plant from a friend that moved away. It is an easy care plant though and seems to thrive with no problems. When it gets bigger, you just cut the shoot off, let it callous over and put it in water to root. Really easy propogation!
those kinda look like the ones I have and they are pretty easy to care for and when my stalk started to die I cut off the stalk and used some rooting powder and planted it right in some moist soil and it is still growing good. My others are doing good in the water I use bottle water for my Bamboos that are in water only they clam it is better for them. I`m not sure why but I just keep using it and not and them add some Miracle Grow to a big thing of bottle water and mix and use very little in them very seldom. Already your fa and watching.
As long as the bamboo grow healthy I don`t think to many mind the type it is really not unless you have some picky people. I`m not a picky person. lol. I never as the saying goes never look a gift horse in the mouth. I`m pretty sure that is how it goes. I wouldn`t hold me to that though.
I'm really happy that I am able to get odd and unusual plants here. It's great :) My "mother" plant is big, and takes really very little care. It is one of my less fussy plants.
Do you have just the 1 big Bamboo mother plant and your taking starts off of her now to auction or did you already cut some and now you chose to do one of this type? Bamboo are really not any trouble at all needs light and either water in a vase or dirt to grow with a nice watering about every 2 weeks give or take. I suppose depending on how dry the air is you have the Bamboo around out sitting out not in the line of full sun you will burn them, My will anyways all but 1 are all in water I have a total of 14 of them different sizes and some are bunched together to make a fuller appearance.
Mine is from a big plant, I took a few cuttings a couple months ago, just to see how they propagate, and then sent one to my friend and listed one that has been rooting in water.
Never hurts to have another one if you can win it that is. A nice plant to have and I never Thank anyone for the plants. I was told that is bad luck and the plant will die on me and I`ve never lost a plant since. Just my little rule. I don`t mind tips about the plant but that is not for the plant.
LOL Well I don`t know that is an old wise tale I think it is only for the people who believe in them. I just happen to believe in them and try to follow most of them and most tend to work out. Just a thought not written in any stone though.
Since this bid has went to 4,000 I am going to send a second cutting (it is not rooted) it takes a while to root, but roots very well in water. My lucky bamboo is planted in dirt, and grows well.
