Used less than a dozen times and kept in the lavage when not in use.

No external power required.
The manual and driver CD are missing, I have no idea what I have adobe with them, but if you are running any version of windows xp or above you don't need them. The CD was for windows 98 SE and 2000 only. The manual basically was installation instructions for the CD.
