not according to PCGS and REDBOOK grading guidelines... They reverse may look a grade lower than the obverse, but the obverse is a high grade. Maybe not the cherished MS but definately a mid to high XF. Thanks for viewing.
absolutely... I do know what I have here! I've been dealing with coins for over 30 years, I learned it does no good to argue with people who know everything! thanks for looking!! will fan back when limit raises, thank you.
For sure. Arguing does nothing at all, but his opinion is flawed. This is one of the nicest seated dimes I have seen on Listia. In fact, I am going to put my bid in now. I think I am going to start writing "Haters will be blocked" as the last line on my auctions.
Full Shield & LIBERTY, Drape lines detailed cap, details in the ear of corn on back... this silver beauty is 142 years old and you can hardly get much better!!
On the plus side, I would say it is XF. On the down side, it looks as if its been cleaned with a brillo pad. I'm watching anyway & will bid if it doesn't go sky high.
lol, that's almost funny.... it's been in a flip since I've owned it. I am sure at one time or another it may have been cleaned, there is always that one person who thinks if they clean a coin they can make the price go up, and I really hate when people do that. I on the other hand know better!! So, if or when it was cleaned, I couldn't tell you either way.
It's not always easy to grade it with out seeing the coin unless the picture is really high resolution. My question is ; Has it been cleaned as it looks like I can see allot of small scratches; but without looking at it first hand under a loup I am not sure.
