Thank you very much for such a wonderful compliment. I appreciate your words they have always been special to me. Some of the people who have meant most to me as Spiritual Advisors, teachers, Preachers, I guess the best way to say it would be those I look up to and admire have often said to me that I have a sweet spirit. While I may not understand what they mean completely I have always taken it as an immense compliment. So I thank you so very much for the very kind words because they bring up happy memories as well as a certain relief that I am the kind of person I have tried to be. I thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and take a look. Feel free to stop in at any time=) New Friends and Compliments are always Welcome=) I try to get a few new things listed every few days. Also feel free to ask any questions you may have. I love talking about Gems and Minerals or Holistic Healing in general. ~Namaste

My friend just lost her wife/life partner and I think this would be very helpful to her. As always I'm watching your awesome auction. Would love to send this to her especially in her time of grief...

This would be a very good stone for your friend as would Snowflake Obsidian a good stone that is particularly good with dealing with grief. Amethyst is a wonderful stone for any emotional upset because we tend to compartmentalize ourselves in times of great stress and Amethyst does a good job of not letting us do that and helping us realign our Emotional, Physical, and Spiritual bodies back up into a position where we can more effectively process and begin to start healing from the grief. I will keep your friend in my thoughts and prayers. I can't imagine what she is is going through but as the wife of a soldier it is something I have thought of a great many times and can only imagine being the greatest Sadness of my entire life. So my empathy and sympathy are with your friend and I hope that she get through this knowing that she had love and gave love in this life which is something not everyone gets. Hopefully she can take some solace in that thought. You are such a dear person to think of someone else like that. Blessing to you and to her. ~Namaste

Thanks Aluuna. I check on her everyday. She lives in Arizona and I live in NJ so it's hard. I was friends with her wife and I miss her very much. She died suddenly from complications at the age of 41 after having knee replacement surgery. It was so sudden. She died in her sleep and we are all so stunned. I want to help her so bad but don't know what to do. She said just checking in with her is a big help and it makes her smile so I hope it does. They were both like sisters to me. I don't know what I would do if I lost my husband. Your husband was in the Army? My Dad a Marine. Thank your husband for his service and thank you for letting him do it and for both of you making the sacrificaes that you did for us. I have a high regard for military personal. I wanted to be a Marine myself but my Dad wouldn't let me. With the medical issues I have now I guess it was for the best. ~Namaste to you as well my friend....

You know when something happens that is so tragic and sudden people often don't know what to say to a person so they easily become isolated at the very worst time for them to be isolated. So she probably really means it that you checking on her is a reassuring thing. For years there has always been the same person to notice if she was late to to come looking if she had a flat tire. It is little things like that when people have been committed to each other for a long time that they are left void of when one spouse dies. So you may very well be relieving some of the "will anyone miss me if I disappear anxiety" that comes with losing your Spouse. (Many year spent counseling tell me that very often that is a major anxiety shared by many who have lost a spouse) So yeah I know I wish we could all afford gas and/or plane tix whenever we needed to go help someone who is far away that we Love. Since I love all the people in my life who have ever touched this I am often left feeling that I am helpless to help in a given situation but all so often it only takes a phone call, a card with a note, a simple life line that tells the person you are Loved by me and I am here So my Friend, you are doing everything you can and she knows that. Again when I think about what she is going through my heart aches for her.
You are doing all the right things and please don't forget that you are also going through grief yourself because you lost a friend in a routine procedure that should have no serious consequences like this. It is a bad situation all the way around and Bless your Heart for being such a selfless person with whom I am honored to call friend.
Yes my hubby was Army which a whole long story for another time =)

Thanks again for always saying the right thing. You are totally right in what you said and I guess in checking in on her I feel that I am doing it for her wife as well. Her wife was the care taker & worked and took care of everything while she took care of the house etc. So it's very hard on her. Take care, Aluuna and I am also honored to call you friend as well. Funny how friendship can form on a site like this. LOL Namaste my friend....

I am glad if I can make you feel better in any little way. You are doing you friend who is left here a great service as well as honoring the one who is gone at the same time. I can't think of something better to deal with ones own grief. Again, I am always reaffirmed to get to know selfless people who can lift up out of their own pain long enough to think of others. So many people can't. Listia is a such a wonderful mix of people and you find good and bad everywhere but I have met a higher number of really wonderful, caring, and kind people on here than in other places. Every day I feel blessed that I stumbled on to this site quite by accident. As always it is an honor my friend. Stay strong and don't forget to take moments to take care of yourself in all of this. Most of us who are really good at caring for others are really not very good at caring for ourselves. So just a gentle reminder. ~Namaste
