May I ask how many knots are in this (roughly).I tried unraveling cashmere and mine kept braking so has a lot of knots.

I honestly don't remember, since I unraveled this a while ago. However, I generally start a new ball when I encounter a break, so probably not too many. This one wasn't very felted, so it came apart pretty easily.

I love cats!!! What kind of kitty do you have??? I-too have a kitty. He's a Savannah cat, and just beautiful. Everybody that sees him flips their top over him. LOL =D He just recently turned a year old. =D

I have a black cat named Midnight. I know, it's a super original name, but it was the best I could think of at 11 years old. Midnight just turned 15, so she's quite the old matron.

What is lace weight? how does it compare to worsted?

Original
Lace weight is very very thin. It's about 1/8th the thickness of worsted.

F&W. Never crocheted with cashmere before so I would love to try it!!!

It's like crocheting with a cloud; it's fabulous! Though, for this yarn, I would suggest doubling or tripling up the yarn, since it's so thin.

Do you recommend doubling or tripling it even for baby stuff since usually those things should be done using lighter/thinner yarn? Would you even recommend using it for baby stuff?

I think it would be good for babies. It's very soft, and would probably be nicer on their skin than regular wool. I would say that you should double up this yarn to make it close to DK weight, which is what most baby stuff is made of.
