This is in amazing condition! None of the areas for name or address have been filled in, (as pictured)

NO MARKINGS, PEN OR PENCIL IN THE BOOK...

Ready to own a piece of history almost 150 years old?
Or do you want another listia coin? Those things are cool, but this is the neatest thing ever! I found it while helping my neighbor clean out his grandmothers home. She had this kept in a curio cabinet behind all her plates hidden! It didn't even have a spec of dust on it. The box is made of Cedar, and is from 1881. It is in mint condition. Most of these that you will find on eBay, (which aren't many!) DO NOT HAVE THE BIBLE TOO. THIS DOES!

Vintage Union Made Carpenter "THE HOLY BIBLE" Cedar Wood Storage Case Box 1881 & Vintage Bible from 1970 also in MINT condition!

This is marked on the front "THE HOLY BIBLE".

This is marked on the back; UNITED BROTHERHOOD OF CARPENTER AND JOINERS AMERICA UNION MADE DISTRICT OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE ORGANIZED
1881 1 REG MAY 15, 1904 1. This measures approxiamtely 8-3/4" x 6-1/2", and about 1-3/4" thick.

Okay, I am a newbie, but here is my take on all of this. It seems to me that when we see people who bully others we should take note and know that they are not the kind of people with whom we want to deal. In business there is a saying, "What gets measured--gets done." So, with that logic, if the bullies are not measured by their negative actions, then they are rewarded. As a result of seeing the behavior of these negative participants, I am going to preemptively block them. Therefore, I will never have to deal with similar behavior in my auctions. I encourage others to do the same. Let us not reward bad behavior with there being no consequences.

you may fine that this a Bible given by a local of a union to the family of a officer who has died. I was given almost the exact same one when My mum passed in 1995. please double check the history of this book.

Dear jamiesmommy1, I hope I win this. All I had of my grandmother's was her bible and I let my sister take it (for a while, she said) and she lost it. This would sort of make me feel like I had a piece of it back. I know that probably doesn't make sense, but it does to me. I'm getting old and very sentimental it seems. Little things mean a lot.
