1887 Antique Brass box with markings on the bottom of "India BM 1887" Makers Mark.
That puts this baby at 127 years old!

The hinges on this are in excellent condition, everything lines up great! On the back, by the back hinge, I just noticed that there is an imprint of the number 192. This is like stamped in above the hinge, and also below the hinge (upside down, so that the numbers are facing each other).
This box is about 3 inches long, and 2 inches wide. So a pretty good size, not a typical small sized trinket box.

What a find! and a gorgeous addition to any collection.
I just do not collect antiques, although I love trinket boxes ;), I thought I would share this with my Listia friends.
