you can open up the back, (where the film goes), this is definately a film camera. :) I LUV the LENS, is it possible to take a closer pic of the front of the lens? if not, that's ok, but you are sure it says FD on the front of the lens? and does it say auto anywhere on the front of the lens (just checking). :) Can you tell by taking the lens off and looking through it, if it is clean and clear inside of the lens, clear of dirt, fungus, haziness, lens discoloration or seperation, you can shine a small flashlight through it and check. Also, does the focusing ring seem to turn smoothly, and the other ring (aperature ring) with all the numbers on it, does it seem to click through all the numbers easily but, not too loose. But, mostly is the lens clean inside of it and does it say Canon FD.on the front of the lens, and the rings seem to turn well. :) Sorry, for all the questions, It's just necessary with older lenses. :) VERY NICE LISTING. :)
