how can it be anything but cosmetic if he got it at target and there is no stamp on it. it cant be silver or gold if there is no stamp. no gemstone is put in a setting of no gold or silver. it must be a 10.00 ring sold at the jewelry counter at Target. I am not trying to be mean but people need to know what they are buying. man made stone or glass. it is still pretty.
