Westclox SCOTTY pocket watch with leather strap works but needs battery!Not sure how old it is my dad is 53 an hes had it quite some time.It is in good condition and works really good just a few scratches on back not bad tho

i have small watch collection, problem is to acquire the truly nice ones would need to mortgage ya house.to buy. years ago, a mans watch was the definitive indicator of his worth. These watches were made for the masses by techniques taught by Henry ford. for the fun of it, pop the back of that watch an look at it. it is an amazing machine made of many many prcision moving parts to perform a function and it's not that much bigger then a silver dollar, and that's a big watch !! amazing craftsmen made it, not like today's watches.

I did the night you were telling me to wind it up it is so amazing its like something albert einstein would have made i showed it to the kids an they were like wow where does the battery go I just laughed so hard and told them that it didnt take one that it was older than batteries they said WOW thats neat.The only thing i dont like about it is that you have to wind it up to make it work !

by the way, that does look to be an original strap that did not come with the watch, but were offered as accessory for it. much desirable. not 100% sure without having in my hand, but sure looks like it.

yea lol thats my phone shadow on back of it haha its so shiny like a mirror ya can put lipstick on but does have scratches on the back i guess if i was as old id have lots of scratches too LOL

probably not antique if it's quartz, the mechanical watches have a much greater resale value, but still it is a very nice piece. Even a broken wind up watch will sell to watch repairmen. I'll keep an eye on this. Scotty are great pocket watches in the early 20th century a lot of soldiers carried them.
