The listing, "Trail Of Tears" Hand Blown Egg has ended.
A hand-painted blown real eggshell giving the impression of the "Trail of Tears". Where the Natives walked and cried the Cherokee Rose sprang up and bloomed. May these "Roses" always bloom and may the "Tears" never be forgotten! A very delicate work of art that shows how much we have to remember!

Please feel free to leave a comment on my work, and let me know what you think of it!
Tyvm, my paternal grandmother was fullblooded Cherokee-Lakhota mix. We are proud of our heritage. Even though at that time in the late 1800's most people were ashamed to be an "injun" or a "redskin". I just wish I could have had more time with her.
#10 watching! Can't fan you yet, I'm at my limit! I need more fans to be able to fan others, don't really understand that, but I will fan you as soon as I can. Your work is awesome n lovely!
This is beautiful!! and an excellent auction!! My family left europe because of stalin & hitler. They were horrified to know how are native americans were really treated. They knew how it felt to be driven from your land & every thing you worked for & loved...Hubby's great great great grandfather was a 4 yr old cherokee who survived trail of tears. It is well documented but his mother and baby sister did not make it. As a first generation american myself (europe) I hope you continue to tell this story through your beautiful work.
Thank you for your words, I said I don't think these tears should ever be forgotten. By those whose ancestors that shed them, by those whose ancestors caused them to be shed, but we should remember them and honor them, and never let it happen again.
