Both the columbus society and the masonic angels are reported philantropic groups, structured through freemason lodges. The groups reportedly help children and young people often receive artistic- educational experiences (such as music or philisophical debate). There is more to the story.

It looks to me that the angel is positioned directly over uruguay on the very tip of Brazil bordering the South Atlantic Ocean. If you look at a current map of the world and directly follow the direction the angel is pointing (with a direct line) you come to South Africa, then through South Africa to Australia. Interesting at the very least.

When considering Africa in relation to the FreeMasons things become a bit more complicated. There are some who believe that the true orgin of Masons is related to the Egypt/Hebrew Moors in Africa and that current Masons are a convoluted evolution of The Ancient Arabic Order Of Nobles of The Mystic Shrine.And that intially the nation of islam was heavely involved. At this point, I do not have an educated opinion but is interesting research nonetheless.

Certain historians claim that when the european masons joined with the arabic groups dissidence over beliefs became apparent and secret groups within the orginal group were formed that still exist today. One group believing in islam , the other not.

And the above supposition continues proposing that the recent hubbub over masons, secret societies and unusual rituals is actaully a propoganda campaign aginst one sub-group against the other , which is interesting considering anytime a mason is portrayed they are potrayed as a light skinned male of above average inelligence with affluence either in a position of power or about to achieve one.
